Last Updated: 01/08/2026. These Membership Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase, activation and use of Global Traveller membership services.Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing, activating or using a Global Traveller membership.By purchasing, activating or using a Global Traveller membership, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.1 PARTIES

Global Traveller is owned and operated by: Stratum Global Risk Ltd
Company Number: 17213902
Registered in England and Wales.
Registered Office: 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX

Certain operational services may be delivered through affiliated entities and authorised service providers. Certain monitoring, traveller support and assistance coordination services may be provided by: Winchester Management Consulting LLC (trading as Stratum Levant), a company incorporated in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, acting under licence from and on behalf of Stratum Global Risk Ltd. The contractual relationship for all Global Traveller memberships remains solely with Stratum Global Risk Ltd. No separate contractual relationship shall arise between Members and any affiliated entity or service provider.

References in these Terms to “Stratum”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Stratum Global Risk Ltd.

References to “Global Traveller” mean the Global Traveller product and associated membership service.

1.2 Who these Terms apply to

These Terms apply where Global Traveller membership is:

  • purchased directly by an individual;

  • purchased or funded by an employer or other corporate organisation;

  • provided as a benefit by an airline, bank, travel company, insurer or other approved partner; or

  • otherwise activated through an authorised Global Traveller distribution channel.

The person who activates and uses the membership is referred to as the “Member”, “you” or “your”.

Where an organisation purchases or funds memberships for its employees, customers or other eligible persons, that organisation may also be subject to separate commercial terms agreed with Stratum.

Those separate commercial terms do not replace these Membership Terms, which apply to the individual Member’s use of Global Traveller.

1.3 Acceptance of these Terms

You must accept these Terms when activating or purchasing your membership. By activating or using Global Traveller, you agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not activate or use the service.

2. About Global Traveller

Global Traveller is a travel information and assistance membership designed to support Members before, during and after international travel. Depending on your membership, location, technology settings and the circumstances involved, Global Traveller may provide access to:

  • 24/7 human assistance;

  • SOS functionality;

  • two-way communications;

  • destination and travel information;

  • security, health, transport and disruption alerts;

  • location-aware assistance where location services are enabled;

  • practical guidance during travel incidents;

  • assistance identifying suitable local services or providers;

  • coordination support during medical, security or travel-related incidents; and

  • other travel assistance services made available as part of the Global Traveller product

3. What Global Traveller Is Not

It is important that Members understand the nature of the service.

3.1 Global Traveller is not travel insurance

Global Traveller does not replace comprehensive travel insurance. Membership does not itself provide insurance cover for:

  • medical treatment;

  • hospital costs;

  • evacuation;

  • repatriation;

  • cancelled or disrupted travel;

  • lost or stolen property;

  • legal expenses;

  • personal liability; or

  • other insured losses.

We strongly recommend that Members maintain appropriate travel insurance for their circumstances and destination.

3.2 Global Traveller is not a booking concierge

Global Traveller is not a general travel agency or booking service. We do not ordinarily provide routine services such as:

  • making or changing leisure travel bookings;

  • arranging restaurants or entertainment;

  • booking ordinary hotels;

  • booking routine flights or transport; or

  • managing general travel itineraries.

Where a travel problem has arisen, however, our assistance team may provide practical information or help identify appropriate options.

3.3 We do not guarantee that an incident can be prevented or resolved

Travel inherently involves circumstances outside our control. We cannot guarantee:

  • that an incident will not occur;

  • that an alert will reach you before an incident;

  • that local services will be available;

  • that borders, airports or transport routes will remain open;

  • that medical facilities will accept a patient;

  • that governments or authorities will grant access, visas or permissions;

  • or that an evacuation, movement or other response will be possible.

Our role is to provide reasonable information, assistance and coordination based on the circumstances and resources available.

4. Membership Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase Global Traveller directly. Where membership is provided to a person under 18, it must be arranged by an appropriate parent, guardian, employer or other authorised organisation and may be subject to additional requirements.

You must provide accurate information when registering. Membership is personal to the Member and may not normally be transferred, sold or shared with another person unless we expressly permit this. We may require reasonable verification of:

  • identity;

  • eligibility;

  • corporate or partner entitlement;

  • activation code;

  • email address;

  • telephone number; or

  • other information necessary to administer the membership.

5. Membership Activation and Duration

5.1 Annual Membership

Unless otherwise stated when you activate, an annual Global Traveller membership is valid for 12 months. The membership term normally begins on the date the membership is purchased. Different commencement arrangements may apply where membership has been purchased or provided through a corporate or commercial partner. Where that is the case, the applicable activation or distribution arrangements will be communicated to the Member or agreed separately with the organisation providing the membership.

5.2 Partner-provided memberships

An airline, employer, bank or other partner may provide you with an invitation, activation code or other entitlement to Global Traveller. Any deadline for activating that entitlement will be communicated separately. If you do not activate within the applicable period, the entitlement may expire or the membership term may begin automatically where this has been agreed between Stratum and the organisation providing the membership.

5.3 30-Day Passes

Where Global Traveller is provided as a 30-Day Pass or other fixed-duration product, the applicable duration will be shown at activation. A 30-Day Pass is valid for 30 consecutive days from the applicable commencement date. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a Pass does not automatically convert into an annual membership.

5.4 Expiry

Access to membership services ends when the membership expires unless it has been renewed. Cases already being actively managed at expiry will be dealt with reasonably in the circumstances, but expiry does not create an automatic right to continued membership services indefinitely.

6. Individual Purchases

This section applies where you purchase Global Traveller personally rather than receiving it through an employer or other organisation.

6.1 Price

The price applicable to your membership will be clearly displayed before you purchase. Prices may differ where Global Traveller is offered through an authorised partner or promotional arrangement.

6.2 Payment

Payment must be made using an accepted payment method. Your membership will normally become available once payment has been successfully completed and any required activation steps have been completed.

6.3 Cancellation rights

Where you purchase Global Traveller as a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation rights under applicable consumer law.

If you request that your membership is activated and the services begin immediately, Global Traveller may commence providing the service before the end of any applicable statutory cancellation period. If you subsequently exercise a statutory right to cancel after the service has begun, we may deduct or charge an amount proportionate to the services supplied up to the date of cancellation, where permitted by law.

Any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted remain unaffected.

6.4 Renewals

Your membership will not automatically renew unless this is clearly stated when you purchase or subsequently expressly agree to automatic renewal. Where automatic renewal applies, we will provide any notices and cancellation rights required by applicable law.

The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 introduces additional requirements for qualifying subscription contracts, including cooling-off rights. The operation of any automatic renewal programme will be maintained in accordance with the law in force at the relevant time.

7. Corporate and Partner-Provided Memberships

Where your membership is purchased or funded by another organisation:

7.1 Eligibility

The organisation providing the membership determines who is eligible to receive it. We are not responsible for decisions made by that organisation regarding:

  • eligibility;

  • allocation;

  • withdrawal of an unused entitlement; or

  • the categories of employees or customers to whom membership is offered.

7.2 No cash value

A complimentary or organisation-funded membership:

  • has no cash value to the Member;

  • cannot normally be exchanged for money;

  • cannot be resold; and

  • does not entitle the Member to a refund where the membership was paid for by somebody else.

7.3 Your relationship with us

Once activated, you are entitled to use Global Traveller in accordance with these Terms regardless of who funded the membership. An employer or partner does not control the operational assistance decisions we make in relation to an individual case, although information may be shared with that organisation where appropriate, lawful and permitted under the applicable arrangements and Privacy Policy.

7.4 End of employment or partner relationship

Your membership will not necessarily terminate simply because your employment, customer relationship or other relationship with the organisation that originally provided it ends. The applicable position will depend on the arrangements under which the membership was provided.

8. Using the Global Traveller Service

8.1 Assistance requests

Members may request assistance through the communication channels made available within Global Traveller.

These may include:

  • Global Traveller in-app messaging

  • SOS functionality;

  • telephone

  • email; or

  • other approved communication methods.

8.2 Information we may need

To assist you effectively, we may ask you to provide information including:

  • your identity;

  • location;

  • contact information;

  • nature of the incident;

  • relevant travel arrangements;

  • medical or security information;

  • insurance details;

  • passport or travel-document information;

  • emergency contact details; and

  • other information reasonably necessary to understand or manage the situation.

You should provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

8.3 Emergency services

Global Traveller is not a substitute for local emergency services. Where there is an immediate threat to life or safety, you should contact the appropriate local emergency service where it is practical and safe to do so. You may also contact Global Traveller so that we can provide additional assistance.

8.4 Cooperation

You are expected to cooperate reasonably with our assistance team. This may include:

  • responding to communications;

  • confirming your location;

  • providing relevant documentation;

  • contacting your insurer;

  • following reasonable safety guidance; or

  • communicating directly with a medical or other service provider.

Failure to provide necessary information may limit our ability to assist.

9. Medical Assistance

Where a Member becomes ill or injured while travelling, Global Traveller may provide reasonable assistance including:

  • identifying appropriate medical facilities;

  • helping the Member understand available options;

  • communicating with local providers;

  • helping contact an insurer or assistance provider;

  • providing practical information;

  • monitoring a developing situation;

  • and coordinating further support where agreed.

Global Traveller does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment unless such services are separately provided by an appropriately qualified independent medical professional. Any medical advice should be obtained from qualified healthcare professionals.

10. Security and Travel Assistance

Where a Member is affected by a security incident, civil unrest, transport disruption, natural hazard or other significant event, Global Traveller may provide reasonable assistance including:

  • situational information;

  • practical safety guidance;

  • route or movement information;

  • identification of appropriate local resources;

  • contact with relevant service providers;

  • assistance with communications;

  • and coordination of further support where appropriate.

Any decision to travel, remain in a location, relocate or leave a country ultimately remains the responsibility of the Member, except where another person or organisation has lawful responsibility for that decision.

11. Evacuation, Transport and Other Third-Party Services

Global Traveller may, where appropriate, assist with identifying or coordinating services such as:

  • ground transportation;

  • ambulance services;

  • medical evacuation;

  • security evacuation;

  • repatriation;

  • accommodation;

  • medical treatment;

  • air transport;

  • interpreters;

  • legal support;

  • security personnel; or

  • other specialist services.

11.1 Third-party costs

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, the cost of third-party services is not included in the membership fee. These costs are the responsibility of:

  • the Member;

  • the Member’s employer;

  • the Member’s insurer;

  • the organisation funding the assistance; or

  • another responsible party.

We may require payment, a payment guarantee or confirmation of insurance before committing significant third-party expenditure.

11.2 Independent providers

Third-party providers are generally independent businesses or professionals. While we take reasonable care when identifying or engaging providers, we do not control every aspect of their performance. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where the law does not allow us to do so.

12. Travel Alerts and Destination Information

Global Traveller may provide destination information and alerts concerning matters such as:

  • security;

  • health;

  • severe weather;

  • transport;

  • civil unrest;

  • natural hazards;

  • entry requirements;

  • and other travel disruption.

Information may be obtained from multiple third-party, public and proprietary sources. We take reasonable steps to provide relevant information, but travel conditions can change quickly.

We therefore cannot guarantee that information will always be:

  • complete;

  • error-free;

  • available;

  • or received before an event occurs.

Members should also consult official government travel advice and other appropriate sources when making travel decisions.

13. Location Services

Certain Global Traveller functionality may use the location of your device. Location services can help us:

  • provide location-relevant alerts;

  • understand where you may be during an assistance request;

  • identify relevant incidents;

  • and support emergency assistance.

You remain in control of device permissions available through your operating system, subject to any membership arrangements implemented by an employer or organisation. If you disable location permissions, some features may not work or may be less effective.

Use of location information is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection and electronic-communications law. ICO guidance recognises that location information used for value-added services and emergency assistance can be subject to specific privacy requirements.

14. Technology and Availability

Global Traveller depends on technology and communications infrastructure that may sometimes be outside our control. Service availability may be affected by:

  • internet connectivity;

  • mobile networks;

  • device settings;

  • power failures;

  • telecommunications restrictions;

  • government blocking;

  • cyber incidents;

  • maintenance;

  • third-party platform failures;

  • or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will take reasonable steps to maintain service availability and appropriate continuity arrangements. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to every digital feature at all times. Members should keep their contact details and application reasonably up to date.

15. Your Responsibilities

As a Member, you remain responsible for:

  • holding a valid passport and required travel documents;

  • obtaining required visas and permissions;

  • complying with applicable laws;

  • considering official travel advice;

  • maintaining appropriate insurance;

  • making your own travel and purchasing decisions;

  • maintaining access to sufficient funds or insurance for external costs;

  • providing accurate information to us;

  • keeping your contact details current;

  • using Global Traveller lawfully;

  • and taking reasonable steps for your own safety.

Membership does not transfer these responsibilities to Stratum.

16. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • knowingly provide false or misleading information;

  • make fraudulent assistance requests;

  • misuse SOS or emergency functionality;

  • provide your account to another person;

  • interfere with or attempt to compromise our systems;

  • use the service for unlawful purposes;

  • abuse, threaten or harass our staff or service providers;

  • or use Global Traveller in a manner that materially interferes with our ability to support other Members.

We recognise that Members contacting us during emergencies may be under significant stress. We will take the circumstances into account when considering behaviour.

17. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

  • fraud;

  • serious or repeated misuse;

  • unlawful activity;

  • deliberate abuse of emergency functionality;

  • serious abuse or threats towards staff;

  • material breach of these Terms;

  • non-payment of a directly purchased membership;

  • or circumstances where continuing to provide access would create a material security, legal or operational risk.

Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to address the issue. We will not use this clause in a manner that unlawfully deprives a consumer of services already paid for.

18. Privacy and Personal Information

We process personal information in order to operate Global Traveller and provide assistance. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • identity and contact information;

  • travel details;

  • device and location information;

  • assistance communications;

  • incident information;

  • health or medical information;

  • emergency contact details;

  • and other information provided during an assistance case.

Some assistance cases may require the processing of sensitive or special-category personal information. Our Global Traveller Privacy Policy explains:

  • what information we collect;

  • why we use it;

  • our lawful bases;

  • who information may be shared with;

  • international transfers;

  • retention;

  • and your data-protection rights.

UK data-protection guidance requires organisations to explain their purposes and lawful bases for processing, including any additional basis relied on for special-category information. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that personal information will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of these Terms does not amount to consent where data-protection law requires us to rely on another lawful basis.

19. Affiliates and Operational Service Providers

Stratum Global Risk Ltd is responsible for providing Global Traveller. We may use:

  • affiliated companies;

  • technology providers;

  • assistance providers;

  • medical providers;

  • security providers;

  • transport companies;

  • communications providers;

  • and other specialist service providers

to support delivery of the service. Our affiliated operating entities may be given access to Global Traveller systems only to the extent reasonably necessary to perform operational services. No ownership of the Global Traveller product, brand, technology or intellectual property is transferred to those entities.

Where providers process personal information on our behalf, appropriate contractual and data-protection arrangements will be put in place.

20. Intellectual Property

Global Traveller, including its:

  • brand;

  • software configuration;

  • content;

  • written materials;

  • methodologies;

  • graphics;

  • customer journeys;

  • website content;

  • and other intellectual property

is owned by or licensed to Stratum Global Risk Ltd or its licensors. Membership gives you a limited personal right to use Global Traveller for the duration of your membership. It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

You may not reproduce, commercialise, reverse engineer, redistribute or misuse Global Traveller content or technology except where permitted by law.

21. Changes to Global Traveller

We may improve, modify or replace parts of the Global Traveller service from time to time. This may include changes to:

  • technology;

  • applications;

  • communications channels;

  • information providers;

  • functionality;

  • assistance procedures;

  • or service providers.

We will not deliberately make a material change that fundamentally removes the core service a Member has paid for without an appropriate reason. Where a material change adversely affects an individual consumer, we will provide any notice, cancellation or other remedy required by applicable law.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary because of:

  • changes in law or regulation;

  • changes to Global Traveller;

  • new technology;

  • security requirements;

  • changes to providers;

  • or improvements in how the service operates.

The latest version will be available on our website. If a change materially affects an existing Member’s rights, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued.

23. Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. In particular, nothing excludes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

  • any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

23.1 What we are responsible for

We are responsible for providing Global Traveller with reasonable care and skill. For consumers, your statutory rights are not affected.

23.2 Matters outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for loss caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including actions of governments, border authorities, airlines, telecommunications providers, medical facilities, emergency services or other independent third parties, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.

23.3 Business users

Where membership is used wholly or mainly for business purposes, additional liability provisions may be contained in the agreement between Stratum and the organisation purchasing the memberships. Those provisions do not remove statutory rights belonging personally to an individual consumer where those rights apply.

23.4 Fairness

Any limitation or exclusion in these Terms is intended to operate only to the extent permitted by law. UK consumer contract terms must be fair and transparent, and unfair terms are not binding on consumers.

24. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with Global Traveller, please contact us at:

Email:complaints@globaltraveller.me

We will aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and investigate them fairly. Where applicable, we will also provide information about any alternative dispute-resolution process that we are required or have agreed to participate in.

25. Communications

We may communicate with you using:

  • email;

  • telephone;

  • SMS;

  • the Global Traveller application;

  • push notifications;

  • or other contact information you provide.

Operational messages required to provide Global Traveller are separate from optional marketing communications. You may withdraw from marketing communications in accordance with the options provided and our Privacy Policy without losing operational membership communications necessary to deliver the service.

26. Transfer of Rights

You may not transfer your membership to another person without our agreement. We may transfer our rights or obligations under these Terms as part of a legitimate corporate reorganisation, sale or transfer of the Global Traveller business, provided this does not materially reduce your rights. For consumers, we will comply with applicable law governing any such transfer.

27. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. The affected provision will apply only to the extent that it is lawful and enforceable.

28. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later.

29. Third-Party Rights

Except where expressly stated otherwise, a person who is not a party to these Terms does not have a right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. This does not affect rights or remedies available independently of that Act.

30. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom or another country, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms removes any right you have to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law. For business-related disputes, the applicable corporate agreement may contain separate governing-law and jurisdiction provisions.
