Travel Security & Regional Awareness

Georgia is generally a relatively accessible destination for international travellers, but regional considerations remain important. The security situation around the Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia is materially different from that in Tbilisi and the main tourist centres. Our Operations Centre coordinates communication between the traveller, medical providers, transportation resources and other relevant parties. Third-party costs for medical treatment, transportation or evacuation are separate from Global Traveller membership unless otherwise agreed.
